Born and raised in Southern California, Ms. Sepulveda is a proud indigenous Chicana. She is a graduate of California State University, Northridge and has a Masters in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute (AFI) Conservatory.

Norma P. Sepulveda is Story Editor on the highly-anticipated animated series for preschoolers, “Disney Junior’s Ariel,” inspired by the hugely popular story of “The Little Mermaid.” The new series follows a young Ariel and features fan-favorite characters, including King Triton, Ursula, Sebastian and Flounder, as well as exciting new additions. “Disney Junior’s Ariel” is set to debut on Disney platforms worldwide in 2024. Previously, Ms. Sepulveda was a writer on Disney Junior’s "Firebuds," about a team of young kids, who are the children of first responders, and their talking vehicle sidekicks as they embark on adventures together and learn what it truly means to be a hero. In 2021, Ms. Sepulveda sold a show to Disney Junior which is in active development, and in 2020 she sold and developed an original series at Netflix Original Animation. Norma got her start in animation working as an apprentice writer on "Elena of Avalor," which introduced Disney's first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore. Her additional writing credits include Disney Junior's "Mickey Mouse Funhouse" and Netflix’s “Spirit Rangers.” |
